EXPLORE Patient Care
According to research published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, minorities are significantly underrepresented within the field of patient care with 73% of healthcare employees and 87% of hospital executives identifying as non-Hispanic White. With this reality, DAP and SSM Health partnered to develop and produce the EXPLORE Patient Care program which sought to expose students of color to the field of patient care as well as professional opportunities at SSM.
