Columbia Listen. Talk. Learn: Dialogue Across Difference

August 1, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Diversity Awareness Partnership – Columbia is committed to strengthening our community by facilitating important and difficult discussions on race relations and unconscious bias. Our hope is that we collectively work toward a more inclusive Columbia by talking to one another, learning more about communities we have limited exposure to, and bridging our divides through awareness and education.

DAP – Columbia is offering FREE Listen.Talk.Learn: Dialogue Across Difference sessions to convene members of the community, so that we can start our collective process. Any individual or group interested in learning how to navigate difficult dialogue on race relations and unconscious bias are encouraged to register for this training.

Attendees will leave the training with the following information:

  • Differences between Debate vs. Dialogue
  • Facilitation Tips and Strategies
  • Strategy for answering difficult and polarizing questions about race, racism, and bias
