DAP Stands in Solidarity with the Muslim Community
Mar 19, 2019
The recent acts of violence carried out in two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand are tragic events that have devastated a community and stunned our nation. We at Diversity Awareness Partnership mourn the loss of the many victims. It is without hesitation or deliberation that Diversity Awareness Partnership condemns any and all acts of violence against any person peacefully expressing their religious beliefs.
In the wake of this act of terrorism, it is imperative that we focus on our threefold mission, and understand each other better to move toward a more inclusive and just country for all. For over 17 years, Diversity Awareness Partnership has been the region’s catalyst to increase awareness, facilitate engagement and provide education about diversity and inclusion. As we continue to serve our region and beyond, DAP remains committed to advocating against violence and division and standing for inclusion, diversity, and equity for all people.
