The Talent Management Consultant (Human Resources Business Partner) provides general support for leaders throughout the bank. Responsibilities include employee relations, benefits, compensation administration, and retention, as well as, partnering with Talent Acquisition on recruiting. The Talent Management Consultant also acts as a resource to team members for onboarding, benefits, pay, career development, policy interpretation, and addresses team member concerns. This position will align with our Senior Talent Management Consultants for the Retail line of business in Kansas City and St. Louis.
This position can be based in either St Louis or Kansas City.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultant to leaders on talent management related issues, such as employee relations, organizational structure, morale, culture, turnover, policy, retention, etc.
- Act as a resource to employees for onboarding, benefits, pay, career development, policy, and address employee concerns
- Evaluate and review recommendations on pay and equity
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure equity and progression of top talent
- Assist with facilitation of annual Talent Map sessions
- Evaluate trends on annual Employee Engagement Survey and assist with action planning process within business lines
- Administer and communicate enterprise-wide programs or initiatives
- Support departments that are not overly complex
- Provide support for all levels of assigned organizations, but may need additional support when interacting with senior management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- General understanding of employment laws and regulations, human resources compliance, workers compensation, compensation structure and benefits administration
- Moderate understanding, or ability to learn, Talent Management and the roles/responsibilities of the various teams and how to leverage those teams to accomplish work
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with people of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and the ability to think critically to solve problems
- Strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient when faced with challenges

- Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 2+ years human resources experience as a generalist or similar role preferred
