Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Application Development Manager

Your Role: You are primarily a full stack developer. You’ll work with our team of business stakeholders, product managers, and technologists to deliver solutions using the Agile software development methodology and improve functionality to facilitate business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Apply software engineering skills in full stack Microsoft .NET / C# technical stack environment
  • Actively develop in COBOL, including integration with purchased applications and custom .NET applications
  • Provide support and maintenance for existing applications
  • Participate in activities related to Agile software development methodologies
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders from the business, working closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to deliver value against roadmap
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

Role Specifics:

  • Schedule – Some nights and weekends with on call rotation to support business needs
  • Travel – Occasional overnight travel to internal and industry events. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train

Qualifications / Requirements

We Need You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of proven development software experience, including experience with one or more:
    • Microsoft: C#, .NET
    • .NET Core Frameworks Core/5
    • IBM Series: COBOL, Node JS
    • HTML, JavaScript
  • Experience in Agile development environments
  • Demonstratable technical abilities within application development, configuration, implementation, and support

We’d Like You To Have:

  • Experience with application systems involved in the support of Ecommerce, food distribution or transportation.
  • Experience with DevOps practices
  • Experience with one or more:
    • Azure
    • Git
    • SQL
    • DB2
