The Digital & Intelligent Marketing Strategies team manages the company websites, promotes search engine optimization (SEO), supports digital marketing campaigns and marketing automation, produces digital assets, and provides integrated digital marketing advisory services in support of marketing strategies and business goals for Commerce Bank and its various lines of business.

The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist will serve a dual role – part digital marketer and part website product manager – with the general goal of continually improving the website experience and assisting lines of business with digital marketing strategies to get users to visit and convert on the site.

One day, you will be brainstorming new website enhancements and writing user stories, and the next, you will be supporting a new acquisition campaign by building audiences in our customer data platform (CDP). If you are the type of person that can connect the dots and see the full digital “big picture” from strategy to execution to reporting, and are comfortable telling the digital story, you will excel in this role.



• Have a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including web marketing, content marketing, marketing automation, search engine marketing, user experience and digital analytics
• Provide high-level analysis and recommendations on digital marketing strategies and best practices that can improve customer engagement and conversions
• Utilize Google Analytics to evaluate, track and report on digital marketing performance
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and product teams to support digital marketing campaigns
• Facilitate, gather and prioritize digital marketing and website development projects and requirements
• Perform user experience research and prioritize recommendations based on user behavior

• Utilize a CDP to build custom audiences and support marketing automation

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience in developing digital marketing solution recommendations
• Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to explain digital strategies and best practices to cross-functional teams
• Experience with a customer data platform (CDP) and using first -party data to drive marketing campaigns
• Experience in developing content strategies to reach a desired target audience and marketing goals
• Proven digital marketing & SEO experience with leadership and team building skills
• Significant knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print media
• Ability to keep up with industry trends and the competitive landscape
• Experience with a website content management system
• Experience with web analytics (preferably Google Analytics)
• Experience on an agile development team preferred

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; Master’s degree in related field preferred
• 5+ years professional experience in digital marketing or related field; 4+ years of financial services experience preferred
