Location: KC Downtown 811 Main (825 Main)
A Senior Bank Operations Specialist performs a variety of jobs in the Bank Operations division. The areas include Wire Transfer, ACH, Trust Operations, Capital Markets Group Operations, Treasury & Commercial Customer Support and others as the need arises. The Senior Bank Operations Specialist may also work on projects and provide suggestions for improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Perform tasks of high complexity for a broad variety of positions within operations or in other areas through Shared Services and deliver strong results
- Meet accuracy and timeliness measures for work performed
- Identify process improvements leveraging experience and knowledge from other areas and collaborate on implementation
- Provide a high level of customer service to external customers and internal partners including phone support as assigned
- Provide workflow expertise and implement process improvements in assigned lines of business
- Act as an informal leader, assist to mentor team members and lead in Supervisor’s absence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required
- Moderate knowledge of the banking industry and bank operations, including best practices
- Ability to learn and understand Commerce systems, platforms, and products
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to be proactive and ask questions, offer solutions, retain information and apply knowledge to a variety of engagements
- Ability to work independently and escalate when necessary
- Ability to quickly and decisively take action in fast-changing, unpredictable situations
- Proven ability to complete higher complexity processes or support high risk departments

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 5+ years customer service experience required
- 3+ years financial services or related experience required
- 2+ years bank operations experience required
