Remittance Processor II – Workgroup (3rd Shift) Commerce Bank

Location: KC Downtown 811 Main (825 Main)

As an overnight, 3rd shift Payment Processor- Lockbox, you’ll be responsible for the daily processing of remittance accounts and meet high standards for production and quality. You’ll keep money flowing quickly and efficiently. If you’re a stickler for details and are good at working fast, we’d love to talk.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Working Overnight (3rd shift)
  • Meet department production & quality goals while working independently
  • Sort mail using OPEX mail sorting equipment
  • Hand sort accounts by box while meeting department production & quality standards
  • Fully operate, clean and maintain all mail equipment
  • Contact service on mail equipment if need occurs
  • Cross-train and deliver results in other areas of the department as needed
  • Perform data entry keystrokes at department production & quality standard
  • Read and interpret unique customer account instructions and department processing guidelines for 600+ accounts
  • Workgroup item processing that includes batch log on, batch re- association and the ability to process multiple accounts with different processing instructions
  • Meet customer deposit, scanning and transmission deadlines
  • Operate high or low speed scanning equipment with high degree of accuracy while maintaining production standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

  • Sunday - Thursday, 9:30pm-6:00am
  • All 3rd Shift employees receives a 15% shift differential

Qualifications / Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills
  • Manual Dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • 10 Key by Touch with 4,000 keystrokes per hour with a high degree of accuracy
  • Repetitive hand movement
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to maneuver multiple screens to complete keying in order to meet various deadlines throughout the shift
  • Interpret and follow directions across multiple accounts
  • Multi-task across functions as needed
  • Motivated and organized self- starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effectively communicate individual processing challenges to immediate lead/supervisor
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Basic ability to navigate computer systems effectively
  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 1+ years data entry or related experience in remittance processing, claims or high-volume processing, accounts receivable, bank operations, teller or other retail banking experience
