Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of a Mortgage Sales Specialist is to provide operational support to high volume Mortgage Bankers. If you’d like a job where you can help boost sales by keeping mortgages moving quickly through the system, this might be the job for you. As a Mortgage Sales Specialist, you’ll be an invaluable teammate to our Mortgage Bankers by making sure people’s mortgages move through the pipeline as quickly and accurately as possible. Essential Functions:

The functional responsibility of this position is to enable Mortgage Bankers to focus on increasing sales production. The Mortgage Sales Specialists fills an important support role within the Mortgage Sales team to improve quality file submissions, assist in documentation collection, manage a production pipeline, and coordinate with the Fulfillment team to ensure an efficient flow of business from application to closing. The Mortgage Specialist must be able to work with multiple Mortgage Bankers and business lines and efficiently manage a large pipeline of mortgage loans.

Work Schedule

- Full Time, 40 hours per week.

- Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with possible overtime.

- Location: Clayton office.

Qualifications / Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

- Maintain a high level of proficiency in the areas of mortgage industry knowledge, loan processing, Encompass, and regulatory compliance.

- Strong customer service skills in addition to being very detail oriented and accurate.

Education/Experience

- Required:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent.

- Preferred:

- 2 years of mortgage processing, closing, or origination experience.

- 2 years of working with an automated underwriting system (DU/LP).

- Experience using the Encompass loan origination system.

- NMLS License.

For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history. If you express interest in and are considered for this position, you will be asked to authorize that report.
