Essential duties and responsibilities of the position will include:
Work under general supervision; must be able to assimilate training provided by
the Lab staff and other sources and apply training to solve basic problems by
analysis and investigation, to include:
• Develop and fabricate basic test fixtures which may include computer
setups needed to operate the fixture or acquire data during the test
• Generate test reports using lab or Microsoft software for data retention
and as needed to maintain established procedures
• Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment assigned under guidance
• Operate and evaluate all ETC and competitor products
Qualifications / Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation will be

Requirements: High School graduate / GED, with demonstrated
mechanical / electrical aptitude. Typing, computer skills and knowledge of
Microsoft Word / Excel as well as pertinent & progressive experience as a
technician in mechanical / electrical applications preferred.
Mental Requirements: Capable of understanding verbal instructions and written lab procedures. Strong willingness to successfully apply self to learning and training. Strong analytic and reasoning skills and ability to apply skills in the identification and resolution of problems.
Equipment: With provided training, quickly develop ability to operate complex computer-based data acquisition software & hardware, electro-mechanical fixturing, mechanical inspection instrumentation & equipment used for UL / CSA lab procedures & certifications, and become proficient with Model Shop equipment
