Reports To: Product Manager – Digital Commerce

Your Role: The Ecommerce Analyst will lead us in analyzing, reporting and identifying trends and opportunities to improve sales, site performance, marketing campaigns, and overall user experience of Dot Foods’ B2B ecommerce site. A key component of our business strategy, it connects thousands food industry buyers and manufacturers each day. Experience in, and curiosity of, data analytics and all things ecommerce and a willingness to make things happen are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze ecommerce data via Google Analytics, SQL and BI tools to improve user experience, conversions and site success, providing actionable insights to business decision makers
  • Develop, execute, and analyze tests to improve conversion and sales; continually assess sales data to understand product trends and inform merchandising decisions
  • Leverage customer database to develop and optimize segmented acquisition and retention email marketing campaigns and drive personalized merchandising experiences
  • Create/maintain daily, weekly, and monthly key metric dashboards to inform key stakeholders
  • Work alongside the rest of the ecommerce team to drive the product roadmap, helping to develop long-term strategies for growth

Role Specifics:

Travel – Occasional overnight travel to internal and industry events. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train

Qualifications / Requirements

We Need You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable Dot experience
  • Proven understanding of and experience in analytics, data visualization and providing actionable insights
  • 2+ years experience in tools like Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, etc., preferably in a B2B ecommerce environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
  • A focus on eliminating waste in all areas of the business.

We’d Like You To Have:

  • Ecommerce experience, particularly in a high-transaction B2B environment
  • Experience in ecommerce analytics, web-tagging, search engine optimization and search engine marketing
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Expert Excel skills (data modeling, large data-set analysis, data visualization)
