Reports To: VP – Human Resources

Your Role: This position is responsible for directing, coordinating, and developing the recruiting strategy within Dot Foods, targeted at building an even more inclusive, equitable and diverse workplace. Works with managers at all company locations to organize processes, systems, and skills necessary to leverage the unique qualities and differences of our existing and potential workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies, provides guidance and leadership to our people managers and various initiatives. This includes the Diversity Leadership Group, Women’s Leadership Group and Employee Resource Groups.
  • Directs and coordinates inclusion and diversity best practices for salaried recruiting, interviewing, and hiring skills training for all hiring managers.
  • Uses data collected during exit interviews, new employee interviews, and employee surveys to provide guidance to our recruiting and retention efforts.
  • Influences the inclusive nature of our printed recruiting material and support the inclusive nature of our advertising by working with our marketing and branding team.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to highlight the company’s diversity brand internally and externally through speaking engagements, publications, external public relations, recruitment advertisements and social media.
  • Serves as a strategic consultant to the business on issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and affirmative action/EEO compliance to go beyond amenability.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact to respond to, investigate, and mitigate employee complaints relating to a lack of inclusion in the workplace.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste

Role Specifics:

  • Travel – Approx. 2-4 nights per month for interviews, job fairs, trainings and meetings. Must have the ability to travel independently without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Qualifications / Requirements

We Need You to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable Dot experience.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate and implement plans across the organization.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the demands of the business.
  • Ability to succeed in a multi-task environment.
  • Effective presentation skills.
