Director of Education & Training Diversity Awareness Partnership


Job Title: Director of Education & Training
Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Executive Director

Position Summary:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver diversity training and consulting to 30+ clients and support initiatives to expand DAP training/consulting portfolio. Provide diversity consulting, facilitate educational panels/forums, research diversity and inclusion best practices, and organize various community events that further the mission of DAP.


Diversity Training and Consulting

  • Conduct an average of 50 diversity trainings per year
  • Provide diversity consulting around strategy, best practices, recruiting, metrics, focus groups, and training
  • Research materials, data, and resources on an on-going basis to enhance diversity training content
  • Conduct outreach to potential new companies/organizations in various market sectors
  • Facilitate and design content for quarterly Corporate Diversity Roundtable meetings

Diversity Education

  • Oversee development of the Annual Interfaith Calendar
  • Oversee Annual Interfaith Event to coincide with launch of Annual Interfaith Calendar
  • Facilitate educational diversity panels/forums for partner organizations
  • Facilitate for Give Respect, Get Respect program as a substitute when needed
  • Organize and facilitate half of annual free Listen. Talk. Learn. community trainings
  • Organize and facilitate half of quarterly Diversity and Inclusion Seminars
  • Develop new curriculum in collaboration with research and data from the Education & Training Manager

General Employment Requirements

  • Attend all major DAP fundraisers and community outreach events
  • Participate in professional development events
  • Perform other job-related activities as assigned by the Executive Director to support DAP brand and growth

Qualifications / Requirements

Skills Required

  • Comprehensive understanding of diversity issues related to race, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability.
  • 3+ years of facilitation experience
  • Must have flexible schedule and willingness to travel (approximately 10% - 20% travel)
  • Ability to self-motivate and meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Strong organizing and planning skills
  • Fast learner with the ability to multi-task with a small collaborative group
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the need to be flexible with all personality types and audiences
