Associate IT Systems Administrator Dot Foods


Location: Mt. Sterling, IL or St. Louis, MO
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Systems Support Manager

Your Role: You will administer and maintain systems at Dot Foods. These systems include servers, operating systems, backup and recovery programs, cloud services, Audio Visual technology, printers, and communication tools.

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware products
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop checklists for typical problems
  • Install and maintain servers and server operating systems and documents server infrastructure changes
  • Report on system performance, utilization, and compliance while writing and maintaining detailed systems documentation
  • Monitor server backup and recover jobs
  • Translate user and/or systems requirements into functional technical specifications
  • Apply lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

Role Specifics:

  • Travel – Occasional overnight travel required; ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plan or train for customers/vendor calls training or meetings
  • Schedule – Ability to work flexible hours; may include evening hours and weekends to meet the responsibilities of the job

Qualifications / Requirements

We Need You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Proactive in anticipating and resolving problems
  • Effective customer service orientation
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Effective analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
